Gloss is out, textures are in

As much as we all love the glossy, shiny, sleek look, these are being taken over by textured finishes in 2024.

In particular, the idea of mixing a range of textures – velvet, linen, wood – it looks like the experimentation of all kinds of textures and materials is going to be everywhere this year.

The beauty of ThisPicture is the impressive range of frame mouldings that we offer; wood, satin, distressed greys, walnut, brushed steel to name just a few. If you want to get on the textured trend in 2024, take a look here.

Brown is the new Grey

Just like Grey and Silver took over our Pinterest feeds a few years ago, Brown is about to become a popular colour choice for homes in 2024.

From light neutrals to dark oaks, brown tones are a wonderful way of bringing warmth and life into your space. Brown is neutral, so is a versatile option if you want freedom to choose pretty much any colour to go with it.

Wood finish frame mouldings like the above, our Light Oak, are the perfect start to creating warmth in your home and getting on board with the brown trend. Take a look at all of our wood and brown toned frame mouldings here.

The Return of Chrome

Despite the welcoming of Brown Neutrals, Textures and Warmth in 2024, it looks like we’re also going to see the return of Chrome!

Metal furnishings, silver frames or brass accessories, it’s all in this year. Chrome finishes are often associated with a modern and contemporary design aesthetic, the reflective surface adding a sense of luxury and sophistication.

Enlarged Artwork

A large photo frame creates an eye catching space, acting as the room’s focal point. They are usually hung in prominent locations within a room, such as above a bed, hallway, or as a centrepiece on a feature wall.

Frames of a larger size can be a stunning addition to any space, adding personality, style and creativity. When selecting one, consider the overall design of the room and how the frame will complement your existing décor.

Here at ThisPicture we can print up to 30×20″ and bigger upon request.
